Petitcodiac Kiwanian of the Year

In 1992 the Petitcodiac Kiwanis Club decided to set up an award to distinguish one of it's members for their exceptional hard work and dedication during the preceding year.

The first recipient of the Kiwanian of the Year award was Stan Lounsbury. In 1993 Bob Saunders, 1994 John Lewis and Don Smith, 1995 Barry Murray, 1996 Charles Howatt, 1997 Clinton Constantine, 1998 Bill Graves, 2004 the Kiwanian of the Year award was once again awarded to Clinton Constantine.

Then for 2005 the committee recognized the fine efforts of one of it's members for his tireless efforts of selling Christmas nuts. Not only did Delbert Bannister, of Portage, receive the Kiwanian of the Year plaque, but also a T-Shirt. This T-Shirt (in good humor) had the words KING OF NUTS boldly printed across the front.

In the picture is Delbert holding his T-Shirt and plaque with president Neil Stilwell looking on.

The annual Kiwanis Auction is their major fundraiser. It will be held on October 20th., 2005 at the Petitcodiac Legion. During the months of November and December the club will be out and about selling their Christmas Nuts. Be watching for Delbert as well as other members.

The Petitcodiac Kiwanis Club's canteen at the Petitcodiac arena is their on going fund raiser. Those who live in and around the village of Petitcodiac are well aware of the wonderful things that the club does for the community. So when a Kiwanian calls upon you for support, you can rest assured your donations are being put to good use.
